The Club’s Summer Party returned on Tuesday 7 July, bringing members and their guests together at Eight Club in Moorgate for one of the warmest evenings of the year — and a fitting occasion in our twenty-fifth anniversary.
As the City wound down, the party spilled out onto the roof terrace, where guests gathered among the olive trees with a glass in hand and the skyline turning gold behind them. Inside, the lounge filled with the easy hum of conversation — introductions made, contacts renewed, and a good many friendships picked up just where they left off.
It is one of the few evenings in our year that takes us away from Pall Mall, and it remains a firm favourite: relaxed, generous and unmistakably the Club at its most sociable. Food and drink flowed until close, and the mood — helped along by a fine summer sunset — was as warm as the weather.
Our thanks to everyone who joined us, to the members who brought a guest for the first time, and to our Events organiser, Gemma Lynch, for bringing it all together.
The Summer Party is one of four occasions that mark the Club’s year, alongside the Christmas Party, the January Breakfast and our monthly lunches at the Royal Automobile Club. If you would like to join us at a future gathering, or introduce a guest, we would be glad to arrange it.
